Maintenance Supervisor - Food / Bev ManufacturingPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate maintenance activities for our manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure reliable operation of production equipment and building systems by managing a team of technicians, developing preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and overseeing PLC-related tasks. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, train, and schedule maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders and projectsDevelop and implement preventative maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems to quickly restore production and reduce downtimeOversee repair, installation, and commissioning of equipment, including conveyors, motors, drives, and control panelsCoordinate with production, engineering, and external contractors to plan shutdowns, upgrades, and capital projectsMaintain accurate maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and equipment documentationEnsure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policiesAnalyze equipment performance and maintenance data to identify root causes and implement continuous improvement actionsManage maintenance budget and procurement of parts and services as neededQualifications5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleFood / Bev preferredExperience with PLCs (programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning) and industrial control systemsProven ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsDemonstrated leadership and team development skills, with effective communication and problem-solving abilities
