G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. Be a part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods as we are now located at our new facility in Hanover, PA. The maintenance supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations. This role supervises maintenance personnel and ensures efficient performance, repair, and preventative maintenance of all production and packaging equipment and facilities. The supervisor ensures compliance with company policies, food safety standards and regulatory requirements, while supporting production goals through effective equipment reliability practices. Responsibilities Oversee maintenance operations across three shifts, ensuring timely and effective response to equipment issues Manage and respond to incoming calls from the production floor, providing support and delegating tasks as necessary. Serve as 24/7 on call contact in the absence of the manager. Participate in all safety, production and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and continuity across teams. Coordinate the scheduling and execution of preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to minimize unplanned downtime. Supervise the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across production and packaging lines. Oversee troubleshooting procedures for production equipment, including ovens, fryers, conveyors, mixers and automated packaging machines. Ensure timely closure of all work orders from all shifts on a daily basis. Manage work orders and maintenance records using a combination of maintenance management system (CMMS). Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, OSHA regulations and food safety standards. Maintain accountability for inventory of spare parts and supplies; coordinate the procurement of necessary materials. Participate in capital project planning and equipment updates as required. Follow up on any temporary repair work orders and monitor parts availability and see through to ensure permanent repair status is accomplished. Coordinate and secure overtime coverage as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Supervise, train, coach and evaluate team member performance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical technology, or related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting with at least two (2) in a supervisory capacity. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills and Abilities Experience in food processing or snack food manufacturing environments preferred. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting; working knowledge of PLCs, motor controls an automation systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Proficient in the use of CMMS software for maintenance planning and reporting.
