Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be capable of performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our apartment complex. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise. Operate and maintain logic controllers for various systems within the facility. Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet quality standards. Participation in a standby-emergency schedule for evening, weekend and holiday coverage. Responsible for purchasing, stock control and utilization of materials. A willingness to pitch in and work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance, i.e. janitorial, custodial, gardening, painting, etc. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs made, parts used, and time spent on tasks. Performance/Coordination of all maintenance in the complex. This includes plumbing, electrical, carpentry and janitorial. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance. Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair. Experience with logic controllers is highly desirable. A willingness to pitch in and work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance. Familiarity with residential painting techniques and materials. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead small teams when necessary. Strong understanding of schematics for effective problem-solving. Ability to assist the Manager in his or her duties.
