Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Job Description

Architect - Critical Facilities This is a full-time exempt (40 hours/week), hybrid role supporting Critical Facilities projects. Location varies by office. Summary We are seeking a licensed Architect with experience in mission-critical or complex technical facilities to support the design and delivery of data centers, high-performance computing facilities, laboratories, and other advanced infrastructure projects. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring projects are technically sound, code-compliant, and aligned with client objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical design expertise with experience coordinating consultants, managing project documentation, and delivering high-quality construction documents for complex building types. Key Responsibilities Architectural Design & Project Delivery Develop architectural solutions for mission-critical and high-performance facilities from concept through construction completion Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to deliver integrated project solutions Translate conceptual designs into coordinated construction documentation using BIM technologies Produce technically accurate, code-compliant design documents while maintaining project schedules and quality standards Resolve complex technical and constructability issues throughout the design process Project Coordination Coordinate project documentation with consultants, including: Structural Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Lighting Audiovisual Acoustics Accessibility Building envelope Fire and life safety Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution Review consultant deliverables to ensure consistency with project goals and design intent Participate in design coordination meetings and technical reviews Construction Administration Support projects during construction by: Reviewing contractor submittals Responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) Evaluating substitution requests Performing construction administration activities Coordinate with permitting officials and regulatory agencies throughout permitting and construction Conduct site visits to verify design intent and construction quality Support project closeout and documentation activities Client & Business Support Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery Support proposal development and project planning activities Participate in project budgeting and financial performance discussions Collaborate with project leadership to deliver successful client outcomes Our Ideal Candidate Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent professional degree Active architectural license required 5-9 years of architectural experience Experience supporting mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, laboratory, or complex technical facility projects Previous experience with data center projects or strong interest in Critical Facilities design Strong knowledge of: Building codes Construction methods Building materials Fire and life safety requirements Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams Strong technical documentation and construction administration skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering data center or mission-critical facility projects Advanced proficiency with: Autodesk Revit BIM 360 AutoCAD Adobe Creative Suite SketchUp Familiarity with: Grasshopper Parametric design workflows BIM coordination Experience supporting sustainable building certifications, including:

Building Standard Living Building Challenge Fitwel Net Zero Building initiatives Experience preparing construction documents for complex infrastructure projects Strong understanding of BIM workflows and digital project delivery Compensation & Benefits The pay for this W-2 position ranges from approximately $46.54 - $59.23 per hour (converted from the stated annual salary range of $96,800-$123,200, based on a 40-hour work week).
