Granite Mesa Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance and Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our facility's maintenance and environmental services departments. This role ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Maintenance:
Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility buildings, systems, and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., fire safety, electrical codes, etc.). Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, installations, or inspections as needed. Maintain a log of maintenance schedules, completed work, and safety checks. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues. Supervisory Duties (currently no direct reports but will likely have an assistant in the future) : Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate a team of maintenance staff. Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and resident-centered care. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training sessions. Maintain time and attendance records, approve leave requests, and ensure adequate shift coverage.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in building maintenance preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care environment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA, infection control, and building code standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and emergencies as needed.
Working Conditions:
This role involves physical activity including walking, standing, lifting, and operating machinery. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, biohazards, and various environmental conditions may occur.
