Full-Time Pay:

$100,000-$110,000 per year Southern Textile Service is seeking an experienced Head Plant Engineer / Maintenance Manager for our South Hill, VA facility — a family-owned regional company serving customers since 1934. You'll bring 3-5 years of maintenance leadership experience, leading the team while overseeing equipment reliability, facilities, utilities, and capital projects. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and schedule the maintenance team, including emergency coverage Build and improve preventative/predictive maintenance programs; track KPIs like uptime, MTBF, and MTTR Oversee boilers, air compressors, and plant utility systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-driven systems Support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives What You Need 5+ years of maintenance experience, including 3-5 years leading a team Strong knowledge of several of: boilers, air compressors, hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical/PLCs, welding Strong communication and troubleshooting skills; ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs Associate's degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
