Maintenance Manager About the Role Westwood Laboratories is a contract manufacturer specializing in beauty, cosmetics, personal care, skincare, and over-the-counter (OTC) products . We are looking for an experienced Setup Mechanic to support our daily production operations. This position is primarily responsible for setting up, changing over, adjusting, and troubleshooting production equipment so our manufacturing lines are ready to run safely and efficiently each day. We are especially interested in candidates with experience working with filling, capping, labeling, packaging, and conveyor equipment in a cosmetics, personal care, beauty, OTC, or similar manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Perform daily production line setups and changeovers based on the manufacturing schedule. Set up and adjust filling, capping, labeling, conveying, and packaging equipment. Make mechanical adjustments to ensure equipment runs properly before and during production. Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond quickly to production line breakdowns. Diagnose and repair mechanical problems involving pumps, bearings, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and related equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and document completed work. Work closely with Production to minimize downtime and keep manufacturing lines running efficiently. Assist with equipment installations, improvements, and repairs as needed. Follow cGMP, LOTO, OSHA, and company safety procedures. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience as a Setup Mechanic, Packaging Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar manufacturing role. Hands-on experience performing production line setups and changeovers . Experience with filling, capping, labeling, conveyor, and packaging equipment strongly preferred. Beauty, cosmetics, personal care, skincare, OTC, or similar manufacturing experience preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, bearings, drives, and basic electrical systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment safely. Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and SOPs. Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Schedule & Availability This position works first shift, Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM-2:30 PM . Candidates must also have the flexibility to work overtime as needed, including occasional second-shift coverage , based on production and business needs.
Pay:
$32.00 - $38.00 per hour DOE Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working around production machinery while wearing required PPE.
