Job Description
MILLWRIGHT
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor - Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, or replacing all equipment, facilities or rolling stock. May include the construction or disassembly of equipment at facilities. Additionally participate in the installation maintenance, and repairs to equipment, machinery, physical structures, and pipe systems in commercial or industrial establishments. Working in a safe & efficient manner according to AgState s safety policies. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance at all locations. Inspect certain sites on a regular basis to ensure maintenance log is being maintained by on-site personnel and preventative maintenance is being done. Install equipment and parts such as drives, conveyors, bearings and other mechanical components. Performing and documenting preventative maintenance and other repairs as well as performing visual inspections and testing machinery and equipment Scheduling and performing maintenance at AgState locations and documenting the actions taken and repairs made. Dismantling defective machines and equipment and performing repairs or installing new equipment. Operating various hand tools, welding equipment, cutting torches, equipment, and company vehicles to conduct repairs.EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED or three to five years related experience or training. Must have valid Iowa s driver s license. Must have good mechanical knowledge. Must be capable of learning how to safely operate various types of equipment such as forklifts, pay loaders, trucks, and other equipment following necessary training according to AgState. Must be able to wear a respirator when required. Must be able to work in dust filled environments as needed. Stoop, bend, climb, withstand exposure to heights, hot and cold temperatures. Lift 50 lbs. from the floor to minimum height of 36 Work overtime as required. Ability to travel to other locations as needed. •Our values ~RISE:
