JOB TITLE
: Maintenance Mechanic Class I - Third Shift 10:45PM - 7:00 AMDEPARTMENT

: Hourly UnionSUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
: Repair and maintain all equipment and utility services within the facility and grounds.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Troubleshoot, analyze, and solve various equipment related issues with minimal supervision. Facility and equipment repairs Assist with the installation of new and used equipment Perform preventive maintenance duties, documenting all repairs and improvements Work with welding, hydraulics, plumbing, pneumatics, and light electrical equipment Perform seasonal duties of snow removal as directed Maintain a clean and orderly work area Willing and able to work overtime including call ins, extended shift, and weekends on short notice Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assignedCOMPETENCY
: Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Advanced ability to learn about, maintain and repair all plant machinery. Must be able to understand blueprints, drawings and instruction manuals and apply that knowledge to the troubleshooting process Advanced knowledge of mechanics, pipe fitting, and building maintenance Advanced welding skills Working knowledge of machinery rigging Working knowledge of electricity and electronics, including ability to troubleshoot PLC's and automated systems, replace drives and electronic components, upload programs, verify parameters. Ability to plan and execute repair or installation projects with minimal supervision. Working with various types of power tools Self-motivated Possess math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and percentages. Basic computer skills Written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions Obligated to work safely in a manufacturing environmentSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.WORK ENVIRONMENT
