Vacuum Systems Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high and ultra-high vacuum systems and related components. Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with high or ultra-high vacuum systems Knowledge of vacuum theory, pressure measurement, and vacuum system design Experience installing and assembling vacuum systems and components Experience troubleshooting vacuum leaks Experience performing helium mass spectrometer leak detection Experience operating and maintaining vacuum pumps Experience with mechanical, turbomolecular, cryogenic, diffusion, and/or ion pumps Experience calibrating or repairing vacuum gauges and controllers Familiarity with stainless steel piping, fittings, and valves Familiarity with cleanroom procedures Experience performing preventive maintenance on vacuum equipment Preferred Skills Associate degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field Experience with thin film deposition systems Semiconductor industry experience Scientific instrumentation experience Machine shop environment experience Experience maintaining detailed service and maintenance records Job Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain high and ultra-high vacuum systems Troubleshoot vacuum system performance and identify leaks Perform helium mass spectrometer leak detection Verify vacuum system integrity following installation or repair Operate and maintain mechanical, turbomolecular, cryogenic, diffusion, and ion pumps Calibrate and repair vacuum gauges and controllers Service stainless steel piping, valves, fittings, and related vacuum components Perform scheduled preventive maintenance Document maintenance, calibration, repairs, and service activities Support vacuum equipment used in cleanroom, laboratory, semiconductor, or manufacturing environments
Pay:
