Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions. Essential Job Functions
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; and assembling and testing motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment. Preform general and preventative maintenance multiple production systems in and around the facility. Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment. Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment. Accurately completes daily maintenance reports. Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste. Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor. Education & Experience Typical education required Associate Degree, Military, or Civilian Equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology. Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities One to two years related experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work with minimal supervision. Flexible able to quickly shift priorities as needed. Able to work from verbal and written instructions.
Operational Equipment N/A Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment Maintenance:
Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.
Physical Demands Maintenance:
Medium - Very heavy, lifting up to 150 lbs.
