ESSENTIAL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs maintenance on all production equipment and buildings to ensure the safety and comfort of hens and pullets. Repairs equipment, electric motors, feed system, water system, ventilation system, assists with the vaccination of flocks and performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

There are no supervisory responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE

One year or more related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The employee must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The employee must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The employee must also be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING SKILLS

The employee must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The employee must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS A

valid driver's license is required for this position if company vehicle is provided. May require company-based certification for farm tractor and other equipment.
