Millwright (TAR) Job Description We are seeking skilled Millwrights for a 2-week Turnaround (TAR) project at a prominent industrial location in Texas City. This role involves working with industrial rotating equipment, with potential for future projects based on performance. Responsibilities Pull small pumps and change seals, including reactor seals. Rebuild fin fans and swap out large electric motors. Read and interpret blueprints and P&IDs. Diagnose, repair, and overhaul rotating equipment using tools like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Perform alignments using laser equipment and grouting tasks. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience as a Millwright in a refinery setting. Proficiency in pump mechanics, including seal changes and fin fan rebuilding. Ability to qualify for work at DOW Chemical in Texas City, meeting DISA requirements. Possession of a TWIC card and personal Fire Resistance Coveralls (FRCs). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with compressors or turbines and extensive rotating equipment. Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and alignment techniques using dial indicators and laser tools. Basic Plus Certification and willingness to work in the field 98% of the time and be on call. Work Environment Work onsite at DOW Chemical in Texas City, in an outdoor, non-climate-controlled refinery setting with multiple trades. The job involves wearing steel toes, jeans, PPE, and FRCs. The schedule is a 12 to 14-day stretch, starting on April 18th, with shifts from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of La Marque, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
