Job Description
CoolSys is hiring Refrigeration Technicians to install, start up, and service rack and commercial refrigeration systems for construction projects. You'll diagnose and repair HVAC-R and supermarket refrigeration equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure efficient, reliable operation for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. Work with advanced controls, read blueprints and piping diagrams, and partner with engineers and project teams. Responsibilities Install, start up, and service commercial refrigeration rack systems for construction and retrofit projects Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues on HVAC-R and supermarket refrigeration equipment Perform preventive maintenance, leak checks, and system performance testing to ensure reliability and efficiency Read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, and control schematics for proper installation Braise, solder, and pipe refrigeration lines to industry and company standards Use refrigeration gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot system performance Complete accurate service tickets, parts usage, and documentation in company systems Follow Cool Sys safety policies, codes, and regulations on all job sites Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to complete projects on time Provide professional, customer-focused communication while on-site with clients Required Skills Commercial refrigeration service Rack refrigeration systems HVAC-R troubleshooting Electrical diagnostics Brazing and soldering Reading blueprints and schematics Refrigeration controls and monitoring Preventive maintenance Refrigerant handling and recovery Use of meters and refrigeration gauges
