$10,000 Sign-On / Relocation Bonus | Full Benefits + 401(k) Match About the Role We are an established 80-year-old Southern California door and gate company. Our commercial division is growing fast, and we are looking for a Commercial Estimator to take full ownership of the commercial estimating function and build out standard processes as we scale.

Key Responsibilities Complete Takeoffs:

Review plans, specs, RFIs, and addenda to price complete packages (sectional, rolling steel, fire doors, high-speed doors, dock equipment, gates, and UL 325 safety devices).

Scope Writing:

Draft clean inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications to protect project margins.

Vendor & GC Relations:

Negotiate buyouts with vendors and walk job sites with General Contractors and builders.

Build Systems:

Standardize intake, qualification, bid tracking, and historical labor/pricing databases. Requirements 5+ years of commercial estimating experience specifically in overhead doors, automatic doors, dock equipment, or gate systems (Required). Strong blueprint reading and digital takeoff skills. Active relationships with door/gate manufacturers and vendors.
