Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting:

Identify electrical problems, faults, and malfunctions in systems and equipment using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.

Repairs and Maintenance:

Perform repairs, maintenance, and replacements of electrical components, wiring, and equipment to restore functionality and safety.

Installation:

Install new electrical systems, wiring, and components by electrical codes and blueprints.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with electrical safety codes, regulations, and industry standards to prevent hazards and accidents.

Testing and Inspection:

Conduct tests and inspections on electrical systems and components to verify their performance and safety.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals.

Customer Interaction:

Interact with customers to explain the nature of electrical issues, provide cost estimates, and offer recommendations for repairs or upgrades.

Emergency Response:

Respond to emergency service requests, such as power outages, electrical failures, or system breakdowns, and take necessary actions to restore service.

Upgrades and Improvements:

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to complete projects and ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in electrical systems is preferred. Valid electrician's license or certification. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Effective communication and customer service skills. Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions. Time management and organizational skills. Supervisory Responsibility This position supervises all positions under their scope as assigned by the Service Manager or Service Director. Physical Demands Manually dexterous and skillful. Climb 6-to-40-foot ladders and operate lifts and other equipment as needed. Maintain balance at any height. Reach and work overhead for extended periods. Bend, crouch, and crawl for extended periods. Manually lift and carry 50 pounds, using proper lifting methods. Push, pull, and reposition activities. Hear warning alarm signals at least 50 feet away. Hear directions within 10 feet when given in a loud voice. Have unimpaired vision, with or without corrective lenses. Distinguish between colors.
