Heatwave AC, Plumbing & Electrical is hiring a Service & Sales Electrician. This is not an hourly electrician position. We are looking for an experienced electrician who can walk into a customer's home, identify electrical and safety issues, explain what needs to be done, present solutions, and close the work. You will be paid 20% straight commission on the work you produce. If you know electrical, understand people, can communicate value, and know how to close, there is serious earning potential here. If you need someone constantly telling you what to do, following up with you, or pushing you to produce, this isn't the position.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
You'll typically run 1-3 quality calls per day , including: Whole-home electrical safety inspections Electrical service and diagnostic calls Customer-requested estimates Electrical repair and upgrade opportunities Panel and service evaluations Troubleshooting electrical problems Identifying NEC and safety deficiencies Presenting repair and replacement options Running company-generated opportunities Creating additional work by thoroughly inspecting the electrical system Following up and closing opportunities when necessary We don't want someone who walks into a house, fixes the one obvious problem, collects a service charge, and leaves. We want an electrician who looks at the entire electrical system. Find the problems. Identify the risks. Explain them clearly. Give the homeowner options. Help them make a decision. Close the work.

STRAIGHT COMMISSION
Your income is directly tied to your production. You aren't capped by an hourly rate. Produce more. Earn more. This position is designed for someone who wants control over their income and is confident in their ability to generate and close work.

YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO SELL FINANCING
Financing is part of the sales process. When a homeowner needs a $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 electrical project, your job isn't to assume they can't afford it. Your job is to understand the financing options available, present them correctly, and make the project easier for the customer to purchase. We have multiple lending partners so you have options for customers across a wide range of credit profiles.

If your mindset is: "Just tell me what to fix." "I don't like selling." "I don't want to talk about money." "I'll give them an estimate and let the office follow up." This isn't your position. We're looking for someone who understands that residential service is about solving problems and communicating solutions. The technical side gets you in the door. Your ability to diagnose, communicate, build trust, present options, and close determines what you earn.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You show up prepared. You inspect thoroughly. You know the code. You find legitimate problems. You document what you find. You explain the issue so the homeowner understands it. You present good, better, and best solutions when appropriate. You offer financing. You ask for the business. You close work. You produce revenue. And because you're paid 20% commission , you get rewarded for doing it.
