Service Technician Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented service technician with electronic experience to work with our testing equipment. The primary focus will be on testing consoles and maintaining accurate data and records. Responsibilities Utilize Abiomed testing equipment to perform functional testing of consoles. Conduct plug and play testing and extract data into the internal system. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical life support consoles. Maintain calibration standards for all test equipment used in servicing. Provide internal service support for service loaners and marketing consoles. Offer basic telephone support to customers and field-based teams. Ensure adequate service inventory levels to meet daily needs. Provide 24/7 rotating on-call service support coverage. Support manufacturing with testing and burn-in of spare parts. Assist engineering with complaint follow-up, including evaluation, testing, investigation, and closeout. Document all services performed neatly and accurately. Communicate issues to the manager and admin team promptly. Review service history comprehensively for each console before servicing. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and follow established SOPs, processes, and procedures. Essential Skills Experience in electronic testing and repair. Ability to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance. Strong communication skills for telephone support. Experience with calibration and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a medical device, aerospace, or military company is preferred. Previous experience in testing within a manufacturing or production setting. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
