Body Repair & Prep Technician Premier Auto Styling is looking for an experienced Body Repair & Prep Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for completing body repairs and preparing vehicles and parts for the paint process. The ideal candidate understands that quality paint work begins with quality body repair and preparation and takes ownership of getting vehicles properly repaired and ready for the painter. This position will also assist with vehicle disassembly, reassembly, final finishing, and other production needs throughout the shop. Responsibilities Perform automotive body repairs including dents, damaged panels, and other body imperfections Complete body filler work, sanding, shaping, and surface preparation Prepare vehicles and parts for paint Complete masking and other final preparation before vehicles enter the paint process Remove and reinstall bumpers, trim, lights, panels, and other vehicle components Assist with vehicle disassembly and reassembly Inspect body and prep work before releasing vehicles or parts to paint Wet sand, buff, and polish completed paint work as needed Wash and prepare completed vehicles for final quality inspection Install automotive accessories and upfit components for retail and wholesale customers as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop Team Expectations Premier operates as a team. Body repair and paint preparation will be the primary responsibilities of this position, but the position is not limited exclusively to those tasks. The person in this position must: Be a team player with a positive attitude Be willing to assist other technicians and departments when workload allows Participate in shop cleaning, organization, and general upkeep Take ownership of assigned work from start through completion Communicate with the team when problems or delays arise Take pride in quality workmanship Work efficiently to help keep vehicles moving through production Understand that the customer comes first Qualifications Previous automotive body repair and/or paint preparation experience preferred Knowledge of body filler, sanding, shaping, masking, and surface preparation Ability to safely remove and reinstall common vehicle components Comfortable using common body shop tools and equipment Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable and able to manage assigned work efficiently Valid driver's license Automotive 12-volt experience is a plus, including accessory installation, wiring, troubleshooting, or vehicle upfitting. Compensation Body repair work will be compensated on a flat-rate basis. Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and the type of work the technician is qualified to perform. About the Position This is an important production position within our body and paint department. The Body Repair & Prep Technician helps ensure vehicles move efficiently from repair into paint and through final completion. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job correctly, works well with others, and understands that keeping production moving is a team effort.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
