Job Summary This role is responsible for receiving, unpacking and moving IT equipment, recording equipment specifications and conditions into our ERP system, performing diagnostic testing, disassembling computer equipment / harvesting test parts, stocking, inventory and shipping, other tasks as needed.
Regular Duties:
Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position. Receiving, unpacking and moving IT equipment. Recording equipment specifications and conditions into our ERP system. Performing accurate and thorough diagnostic testing, disassembling computer equipment and harvesting and testing parts. Ensuring records are detailed and completed properly when replacing parts. Safely use various tools, including scrapers, screwdrivers, sockets and a small soldering iron. May be required to work in other functional areas depending on business needs. Other job-related tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:
Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment. Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to think analytically. Proficient in basic math. Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to describe status of server, issues found, work completed, etc. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to and adhere to safely "team lift" anything above 50 pounds. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas. Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc. Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Standing, sitting, stooping/squatting and walking can be expected along with reaching with hands and arms and undergoing repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder and ankle motions. Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines.
Typical Experience:
No less than one year of experience in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing setting. Adequate experience working with electrical server systems. Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
Typical Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Full/Part Time :
Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
