$28
  • 36/hr (depending on experience) Fairport, NY (100% onsite)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Duration:
3-month contract (potential extension) We're hiring a skilled Measurements Technician to support precision optical testing and alignment work within a high-tech R&D environment. This role focuses on optical metrology systems, including setup, testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis. What You'll Be Doing Perform precision optical testing and alignment (interferometry experience highly valued) Support assembly, integration, and qualification of optical systems Set up and execute test procedures, collect and analyze data Troubleshoot performance issues and assist with system optimization Handle sensitive optical components with care and follow best practices Key components you will be working with Class IV Laser Optical subassemblies Motion control systems Alignment tools and fixturing What We're Looking For Strong background in optical testing, alignment, and metrology Experience with interferometers preferred Solid understanding of geometrical optics Comfortable working with data tools (Excel, MATLAB, Python, etc.) Able to follow detailed procedures and adapt in a research-driven environment Self-sufficient with strong attention to detail Qualifications Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred (Optics or related field) 7+ years of optics experience (Associate's) OR 5+ years (Bachelor's) Nice to Have Cleanroom experience Experience in R&D or prototype environment Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
