Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Hydraulic Service Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of hydraulic systems and subsystems on a variety of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and mobile equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across multiple environments and applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technologies while contributing to a high‑performing service team. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems using schematics, OEM manuals, and diagnostic tools. Repair and replace hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings. Recommend and implement custom modifications to hydraulic systems based on operational needs. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, tractors, forklifts, presses, and other industrial or municipal machinery. Operate heavy equipment such as mobile cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts to assist with installation or repair tasks. Read and interpret technical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals to determine accurate solutions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, hydraulic presses, and other tools for disassembly, repair, and re‑assembly tasks. Qualifications Minimum of five years' experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mobile equipment, or electro‑mechanical (mechatronics) systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm equipment, and manufacturing machinery. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for hydraulic system troubleshooting. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and related tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information. Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform repairs in various environments (heights, high heat, dirty conditions, etc.) with occasional overnight travel.
