Company Overview Johnson Family Chevrolet is a locally-owned automotive dealership dedicated to providing exceptional service and quality repairs. We operate a busy service department, a comprehensive repair shop for large-scale jobs, and an in-house body shop and collision center. Overview We are looking for an experienced repair technician/mechanic to join our team. Our ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience doing diagnostics and working on transmissions, engines, and electrical. If you take pride in diagnosing complex problems, fixing vehicles right the first time, and working alongside professionals who share your commitment to quality, we want to talk with you. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance concerns. Perform repairs according to GM and manufacturer specifications. Complete inspections and identify maintenance or repair recommendations. Utilize factory diagnostic equipment and repair procedures. Produce accurate repair documentation and technician videos. Collaborate with service advisors to communicate repair recommendations. Maintain productivity while delivering exceptional quality. Mentor and assist apprentice and entry-level technicians when appropriate. Keep current on GM technology and complete required manufacturer training. Qualifications 3+ years of professional automotive technician experience. Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to obtain VA State Inspection License ASE Certifications preferred, but not required. GM, Ford, or Chrysler experience is a plus. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
