- Communication Systems Technician
- to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role supports U.S. Navy Ships or Submarines under the direction of
- Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC)
- and serves as the technical
- Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Responsibilities:
AN/USC-61
(C) Digital Modular Radio (DMR)- + •
AN/WSC-9
(V) Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT)- + Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems. + Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- + US Citizen + Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. + High School Diploma or equivalent, Navy Schools desired +
- 4+ years of related experience
- with associated systems. Desired, but not required systems include: +
- Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP)
- + •Global Broadcast Service (GBS)•+ •Legacy EHF/SHF•+ •
AN/WSC-6
- + Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining communication systems. + Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret manuals and standards. + Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.
Physical Requirements:
- + Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling tools/equipment. + Regular verbal and auditory communication. + Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. + Ability to board ships and naval crafts, navigating passageways and steep ladders. + Comfortable working in shipboard and industrial environments.

- The hiring range for this position is: $32.00 - $48.00 based on experience
