Local Wilmington-based projects with occasional regional travel as needed Job Summary We are seeking dependable and motivated AV/Low Voltage Cable Technicians to support commercial audiovisual, structured cabling, and technology infrastructure projects in the Wilmington, NC area. This role is ideal for technicians with experience installing low-voltage cabling, audiovisual systems, fiber optics, network infrastructure, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in commercial environments while supporting installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities
+ Install, route, dress, and terminate CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
+ Install and support audiovisual systems including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, digital signage, and video conferencing equipment.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
+ Install cable pathways including J-hooks, cable tray, conduit, and surface raceway.
+ Perform cable testing, labeling, and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
+ Terminate and test network cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
+ Assist with rack buildouts, rack-and-stack activities, and equipment installations.
+ Perform troubleshooting and repair of AV and low-voltage systems.
+ Maintain clean and organized work areas while adhering to project schedules.
+ Follow all company safety policies, customer requirements, and quality standards.
+ Collaborate with project managers, lead technicians, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. Required Qualifications + 1+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, AV installation, telecommunications, or related field.
+ Experience pulling, routing, terminating, and testing copper or fiber cabling.
+ Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
+ Familiarity with commercial construction environments.
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Excellent communication and professionalism when interacting with customers and coworkers.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or lifts when required.
+ Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with audiovisual system installations.
+ Fiber optic termination or splicing experience.
+ Manufacturer certifications such as Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Cisco, or similar.
+ BICSI, OSHA 10/30, or industry certifications.
+ Experience with network infrastructure, IDF/MDF buildouts, and equipment racks. Work Environment

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
