Position Summary The Enterprise Communications Engineer provides first-level onsite and remote support for network and communications systems supporting critical healthcare applications and services. This role is responsible for diagnosing, configuring, troubleshooting, documenting, and supporting enterprise communications and networking technologies in a highly available environment. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote support for network and communications issues affecting enterprise and healthcare applications. Perform first-level diagnostics and troubleshooting of network and communication-related incidents. Configure, deploy, and maintain: Routers Switches Load Balancers Communication Servers Other enterprise communications infrastructure Install, rack, stack, and cable communications equipment. Perform cable testing, tracing, and validation. Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records. Coordinate with telecommunications carriers, service providers, and vendors to resolve connectivity and communications issues. Support highly available network environments serving clinical and business operations. Follow operational procedures, change management practices, and security standards. Work independently under general supervision, making sound technical decisions and escalating issues when appropriate. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years of experience supporting network, telecommunications, or communications infrastructure.

Familiarity with networking fundamentals including:

TCP/IP Routing & Switching VLANs Wireless Networking Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to maintain clear technical documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting healthcare or other highly regulated environments. Exposure to Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, F5, or similar enterprise technologies. Experience with VoIP, Unified Communications, or telephony systems. Familiarity with network monitoring and management platforms. Industry certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent.
