A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description

Location:
Dallas, TX 75212 - onsite with up to 50% travel
Employment Type:
Direct Hire, Full-Time Base Salary:
Up to $64K annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Bonus:
Annual target bonus paid quarterly
Background Requirement:
Must successfully pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check upon hire.
Work Authorization:

Role:
GTS Technology Solutions is hiring a Lead MDC Support Technician to lead a two-person field team supporting a local government client in the Dallas, TX area. This role oversees field coverage, manages escalations, serves as the primary technical liaison, and performs hands-on technician work when needed.
What You'll Do:
Lead daily field operations and coordinate assignments for two field technicians Manage escalations and serve as the primary technical liaison to the client's team Perform and guide diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment replacement Coordinate depot repair, warranty processing, and asset accountability Prepare status reports and recommend process improvements
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience 5+ years of rugged mobility, MDC, public safety technology, or field services experience preferred Prior experience leading technicians or serving as a customer liaison preferred Comfort with up to 50 percent travel and a government-level background check
