Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bosch-Certified Security Field Technician to join our team. This is a field-based, customer-facing position for a technician who has the knowledge and experience to work independently, troubleshoot issues in the field, and complete installations with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Bosch alarm systems , along with experience in security, access control, CCTV, networking, and other low-voltage systems. This position requires someone who is comfortable traveling to customer locations and taking ownership of projects from installation through completion. Responsibilities Install, program, service, troubleshoot, and maintain Bosch fire alarm and security systems. Perform installations and service work involving burglar alarm, CCTV, access control, paging, and other low-voltage systems. Work independently at customer locations with limited supervision. Read and follow installation drawings, wiring diagrams, project specifications, and other technical documentation. Install, terminate, and troubleshoot Ethernet and structured network cabling. Install and configure VoIP hardware, phones, analog gateways, paging equipment, and related systems as required. Diagnose system issues and determine appropriate repairs or corrective actions. Test and verify systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with project requirements. Provide basic product and system training to customers following installation. Maintain accurate service records, installation documentation, and written progress reports. Communicate professionally with customers and serve as a positive representative of the company in the field. Follow all company safety policies, customer site requirements, and applicable procedures. Maintain company tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition. Travel to customer locations as required, including overnight travel when necessary. Work effectively as part of a team when projects require additional technicians while also being capable of completing assignments independently. Required Qualifications Current Bosch certification is required. Minimum 5 years of hands-on field experience in security, and/or low-voltage systems. Strong hands-on experience with Bosch fire alarm systems. Experience with alarm installation, programming, troubleshooting, and service. Experience with access control systems. Experience with CCTV/video surveillance systems. Experience with burglar/intrusion alarm systems. Experience with structured network cabling and Ethernet termination. New construction installation experience strongly preferred. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Working knowledge of Ohm's Law and basic electrical principles. Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and installation documentation. Ability to complete written service reports and project documentation. Must have and maintain the tools necessary to perform field technician duties. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations and stay overnight when required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Must be organized, dependable, self-sufficient, and capable of working with little or no supervision. We are looking for a technician who can arrive at a job site, understand the scope of work, troubleshoot problems, communicate with the customer, and complete the work without needing someone to walk them through every step. This is not an entry-level position. The successful candidate will have the technical knowledge, field experience, and confidence to work independently while representing the company professionally with our customers.
