You will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service to our clients by diagnosing issues accurately and performing precise repairs that keep marine operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics of marine electrical and mechanical systems using schematics, technical drawings, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and calipers. Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides to identify root causes of system failures or malfunctions. Execute rigging tasks, assembly work, sheet metal fabrication, soldering, welding, and precision measurements to ensure proper installation and repairs. Maintain water transportation equipment by performing scheduled maintenance on marine engines, electrical systems, hydraulic components, and other critical systems. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently during all maintenance activities to ensure safety standards are upheld. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering technical guidance when needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on marine or heavy machinery maintenance; experience with marine mechanics is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of ship electrical systems maintenance, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting marine electrical issues. Mechanical knowledge including marine engine repair, mechanical systems repair, diesel mechanics, and water transportation equipment maintenance. Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and engineering troubleshooting guides accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including soldering), fabrication techniques, calipers, sheet metal work, and precision measuring instruments. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), assembly processes, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Familiarity with marine propulsion systems maintenance and electrical troubleshooting is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service abilities. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Military background or certifications related to marine or mechanical systems are a plus but not required.
