Job Overview Landscape East & West is seeking an experienced and dependable Small Engine Mechanic to join our team in Clackamas. The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining landscaping equipment and company trailers & vehicles. Responsibilities and Duties Diagnose, repair, and conduct routine maintenance of small engines including lawn mowers, blowers, chain saws, skid steers and trenchers. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance. Troubleshoot electrical systems and components. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems. Perform welding and fabrication as needed. Communicate with landscaping crews & supervisors regarding repairs and service needs. Ensure compliance with safety standards & company policies. Qualifications Previous experience with small engine repair and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills. Basic automotive repair knowledge. Valid & insurable driver's license (CDL not required). Must supply a personal basic tool set and toolbox; specialty shop tools will be provided. Experience with hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting. Welding experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to drive truck & trailer and to obtain DOT med card certification. Ability to stand, bend, kneel and work with tools for an extended period.
