S. Navy vessels. This is a hands-on position ideally suited to someone with experience working with electrical cables, wiring harnesses or cable assemblies within a military/defense environment. You do not need to be an experienced marine electrician
- relevant cable/harness experience and a Secret security clearance are the key priorities.
What you'll be doing Install, route, tag and secure copper and fiber optic cables aboard U.S. Navy vessels Support installation and termination of electrical wiring and cable assemblies Work with military connectors, cables and wiring harnesses Perform basic cable and circuit testing/troubleshooting Work from drawings, wiring diagrams and technical instructions Use electrical hand tools, crimpers, multimeters and related equipment Support projects across surface ships and submarines Work alongside experienced technicians with fiber optic training and certification available What we're looking for Current/active DoD Secret security clearance Hands-on experience with cables, wiring harnesses or electrical assemblies Experience within military, defense, naval, shipboard or aerospace environments Comfortable reading basic electrical drawings or wiring diagrams Experience with cable termination, crimping and/or multi-pin connectors is highly desirable Previous Navy/shipyard electrical experience is beneficial, but not essential Fiber optic experience is a plus, but full training can be provided U.S. Citizen High School Diploma or equivalent What's on offer Opportunity to work on U.S. Navy surface and submarine programs Training and certification in fiber optic installation and testing Overtime opportunities Travel/project-based work Comprehensive insurance benefits PTO 401(k) Long-term development within the defense/marine sector Already cleared and have experience working with military cables or harnesses?
