Medical, Dental, 401(k), Paid Time Off and additional employee benefits Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Tire & Wheel Alignment Specialist to join a busy, professional automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing wheel alignments, tire services and basic suspension and under-car repairs. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accurate work, works efficiently in a fast-paced service environment and understands the importance of vehicle safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Perform precise wheel alignments using computerized alignment equipment, including diagnosis and adjustment of camber, caster and toe to manufacturer specifications. Mount, dismount, balance, rotate and repair passenger and light-truck tires while protecting wheels and vehicle components. Inspect steering, suspension and under-car components for worn or damaged parts, including ball joints, tie rods, control arms, struts and related components. Identify irregular tire wear, structural tire damage and other potential vehicle safety concerns. Document findings and communicate necessary repairs or recommendations to the appropriate service personnel. Perform routine automotive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs as needed. Safely drive and position customer vehicles on lifts and alignment racks. Properly operate and maintain alignment systems, tire changers, wheel balancers, hand tools and power tools. Use torches and appropriate tools when necessary to complete suspension and alignment adjustments. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. Qualifications Previous professional automotive repair experience, with hands-on wheel alignment and tire service experience strongly preferred. Experience operating computerized alignment equipment, such as Hunter or equivalent systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of passenger vehicles, steering and suspension systems. Ability to safely use tire changers, wheel balancers, hand tools, power tools and related shop equipment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to regularly lift at least 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, bending and kneeling throughout the workday. Basic automotive hand tools preferred. Automotive certifications are preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to performing quality work.
