Tire Technician/ Service Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and semi experienced Tire technician to oversee all aspects of tire operations within our organization: keeping 100+ trucks and trailers safe and on the road. This role involves managing tire inventory and ensuring the proper maintenance of tire-related equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong initiative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep knowledge of tire maintenance and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform tire installations, rotations, and repairs on various trucks and trailers. Conduct thorough inspections of tires to assess wear and damage. Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively during tire service operations. Oversee tire inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet demand. Order tires and related products from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Ensure that tires are properly maintained, including regular inspections, rotations, and repairs. Monitor tire performance and recommend replacements or repairs when necessary. Ensure that all safety standards and procedures are followed in tire handling, maintenance, and repairs. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees and customers and keep a clean and organized work space, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Maintain accurate records of tire purchases, sales, repairs, and inventory. Ensure that tire equipment and tools are properly maintained and functioning.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in tire management, sales, or automotive service industry. Takes initiative and makes sure our fleet is safe and ready to roll In-depth knowledge of tire brands, specifications, and repair techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in tire maintenance and repair. High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift and carry heavy tires and equipment. Standing for extended periods and working in a physically demanding environment. This position is typically based in a tire shop or automotive service center. Occasional weekend, evening shifts, or road calls may be required based on business needs. This Tire Manager / Technician role is crucial for the smooth operation of our tire services.
