Job Description

Our client, a local Highway District, is seeking dependable Roadway Maintenance Technicians to support chip-seal, paving, and traffic-control operations. This is an excellent hands-on opportunity to work outdoors with a supportive road construction crew while gaining valuable highway maintenance experience. Paid training is provided, and immediate openings are available.
Pay and schedule:
Starting at $19/hour. Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Enjoy every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off! What you'll do: Assist with chip-seal road maintenance and paving operations Set up, maintain, and remove traffic-control devices Use rakes and shovels to spread and finish materials Complete detail work around road edges, utility covers, and hard-to-reach areas Support roller and equipment operators throughout the workday Move vehicles and equipment to keep projects on schedule Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance when appropriate Walk long distances in active traffic zones and road rights-of-way Work safely around dump trucks, rollers, chip spreaders, and other heavy equipment Assist the crew with additional tasks to complete projects safely and efficiently Perform other related duties as assigned What you'll need: Valid driver's license Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work ten-hour shifts outdoors in varying weather conditions Comfortable working in active traffic zones and around heavy equipment Ability to follow directions, procedures, and job specifications Commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to pass a drug screening

Up to $19.00 per hour
