Previous professional traffic control or flagging experience is required. We are looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals who understand active work-zone operations and can safely and professionally control traffic around construction crews, equipment, and the traveling public. Responsibilities Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through active work zones Properly use
STOP/SLOW
paddles, hand signals, radios, and other traffic-control devices Assist with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down traffic-control work zones Follow traffic-control plans and supervisor instructions Maintain constant awareness of traffic, workers, equipment, and changing job-site conditions Communicate effectively with other flaggers, supervisors, and work crews Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately Follow all company and job-site safety procedures Properly wear and maintain required PPE Requirements Previous professional traffic control/flagging experience is
REQUIRED
Must be 18 years of age or older Must have reliable transportation Must be dependable and report to work on time Knowledge of work-zone safety and traffic-control procedures Ability to work safely around moving traffic and heavy equipment Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing weather conditions Must be able to communicate clearly and follow instructions Current flagger certification is strongly preferred Experience with work-zone setup and breakdown is preferred Compensation $20.00-$25.00 per hour Starting pay will be based on traffic-control experience, qualifications, and certifications . Candidates with extensive experience and current certifications may qualify for the higher end of the pay range.
