Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Utility Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate heavy and light utility equipment to support construction, maintenance, and utility service projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and job specifications. Key Responsibilities Operate utility and heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, loaders, trenchers, and skid steers Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of utility lines (water, sewer, gas, electric, or telecom) Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Read and interpret job plans, markings, and utility locates Follow all safety policies, procedures, and traffic control requirements Work effectively with crew members, supervisors, and site inspectors Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or required if applicable) Minimum 4 years of experience operating utility or construction equipment Knowledge of underground utility work and safety standards Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to safety and detail Preferred Skills Experience working around live utilities Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs Strong communication and teamwork skills Able to lift at least 50 Lbs Benefits Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance 401K Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for overtime How to Apply Submit your application or resume to william@lightlinkinc.com.
