Full Time - 1st Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Continuously maintain managing control of daily operations, aircraft status, on-going maintenance, and all other information relevant to the continued safe operation of the Company Fleet. Coordinate any needed maintenance, e.g. open items, DMIs, COIs, and other necessary assignments, with the line maintenance station supervisors and flight maintenance engineers. Review completed log pages received from line operations. Audit the log pages for quality and completion. Audit all prepare documents, e.g. Evaluation Flight Authorizations, ferry flights, etc., to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations set forth in the Kalitta Air GMM. Provide efficient and effective coordination with other departments within the Operations Control Center (OCC) during irregular operations. Coordinate/communicate with the Supervisor on Duty/Operations Control Center any Maintenance Action Plans that are created for time limited maintenance tasks, DMI/COI, Advisory Notices, or other applicable task requirements. This function should happen daily and be ongoing during each shift. Ensure that irregular operations requiring tail swaps or schedule changes do not interfere with any Maintenance Action Plan. If MAP interference is encountered, take action to revise the applicable MAP to accommodate operations, when possible, without operating the aircraft beyond any limiting item. Coordinate and monitor as necessary all irregular aircraft maintenance using "third party" maintenance, including any conference calls or other forms of communication that require the inclusion of the flight maintenance engineer. Provide a detailed turnover to the oncoming Maintenance Control Supervisor to ensure cohesion between shifts. Perform a review of the most current open DMI report during the duty day for quality control purposes and coordinate any required changes with other departments within the OCC. Ensure that accurate information regarding open
DMI / CDL
items and flight restrictions is made available to flight operations at the point of aircraft dispatch. Ensure that the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Deferred Maintenance Item (DMI/CDL/COI) process is carried out in accordance with the polices and procedures detailed in the KA GMM. Ensure that procedures for entering all
DMI / CDL / COI
information into the AMOS database is followed. Coordinate with Stores personnel for the ordering and shipment of parts and materials to maintenance stations. Provide reports of mechanical difficulties to maintenance management, e.g. ongoing delays, DMI status, etc. Provide notice of
SDR / MISR
events to the Assistant Director of Quality Control. Provide all parties (as specified in the KA GMM) with notice of all DMI extensions. Monitor LMP status and report the status to the Maintenance Control Manager and appropriate departments. Ensure that procedures for the control of LMP are utilized and performed. Perform any other duties as assigned but the Maintenance Control Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have and valid A&P License, experience working Heavy Transport Aircraft, be able to use and understand wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, troubleshooting manuals and parts manuals, have good computer skills and verbal communication skills as well. Maintenance Control experience is required. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. Must have a good working knowledge of world geography and flight operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write reports and correspondence, Ability to give verbal and written directions.
