Job Description

Job Summary The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe and efficient operations. This role focuses on organizing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work by developing detailed job plans, securing materials and resources, and aligning schedules with production needs. The Maintenance Planner serves as a key link between maintenance, operations, and materials management, ensuring work is properly scoped, prioritized, and ready for execution. Success in this role is measured by improved asset reliability, schedule compliance, reduced emergency repairs, and optimized maintenance costs. Job Description Develop detailed maintenance job plans, including labor estimates, task sequences, tools, permits, and safety requirements Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work to maximize equipment availability Coordinate maintenance schedules with operations to minimize production impact Ensure required parts, materials, and services are identified and available prior to job execution Maintain and continuously improve preventive maintenance strategies and asset histories Use the CMMS to manage work orders, schedules, and maintenance data Prioritize maintenance work based on asset criticality, risk, and operational impact Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule compliance, backlog, and equipment downtime Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, and cost control Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, engineers, and vendors to ensure effective execution of maintenance work All other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager. What will it take
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Technical background in maintenance, reliability, or engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial preferred) Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance environment Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices Proficiency with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to analyze data, prioritize work, and manage multiple schedules Strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability
Special Requirements and Independency:
Must show great leadership skills. Great organizational skills. Be available to work overtime, weekends, off shifts and call outs when necessary. Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, squat, climb ladders, ramps & stairs, push and pull, reach at or below waist level and occasionally overhead, drive (forklift), hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (machinery alarms). Must be able to wear respirator and any other necessary personal protective equipment. This position requires a fit for duty physical.
IT Skills:
Intermediate computer skills to include
Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, and Data Processing Language Skills:
Ability to speak, read and write.
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to lead, active listening, able to understand and empathize with others, teamwork, motivating others, organizational abilities, excellent communication skills.
Problem Solving:
Critical thinking, prioritization, flexibility, troubleshooting.

Communication:
Nonverbal, written, and oral skills are required. Salary Range The base hiring range is between $75,446.09 - $92,211.88. In addition to hiring salary, compensation package may include additional components such as health benefits, life insurance, 401K, vacation and yearly bonus incentives.
