Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 60-bed community hospital located in the desert between Los Angeles and Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP. This role offers day-shift hours on a 4x10 schedule, providing a balance between busy workdays and extended time off. Minimal on-call responsibilities are required due to a Remote Service that manages after-hours order processing.

Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications and verify orders within the hospital setting Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient pharmacotherapy Utilize MedHost EMR and Sentri 7 Clinical Surveillance software to review patient profiles and ensure safe medication use Manage inventory and operate Pyxis Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) Provide clinical support and counseling to patients and staff as needed Participate minimally in on-call rotations to address urgent pharmacy needs after hours

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active California pharmacist license Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, familiarity with clinical surveillance and ADC systems a plus Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team Adaptable to a desert community hospital environment

Schedule:
