Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description Join a leading manufacturer in Wisconsin, specializing in semi-trailer production. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including welders, robots, conveyors, forklifts, and fabrication equipment. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on plant equipment such as welders, robots, conveyors, forklifts, and fabrication equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with mechanical and electrical systems. Use a volt meter to test for power and diagnose electrical components such as switches, sensors, and fuses. Safely access panels and use a meter to test for 120dc and 480v. Handle hydraulic systems and presses. Utilize robotic equipment and CMMS system for maintenance tasks. Essential Skills Solid mechanical aptitude with experience in car maintenance or similar mechanical tasks. Basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with hydraulics, assembly, and presses. Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in using a volt meter for electrical testing. Two years of industrial maintenance experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with robotic systems such as Yaskawa and Trumpf equipment is a plus. Familiarity with CMMS systems like emaintenance is beneficial. Work Environment Work in a large, non-climate controlled facility, which is cool in the winters and hot in the summers. The environment is loud, requiring ear plugs. The dress code includes jeans, work-appropriate t-shirts, and steel toe shoes. The position offers first shift hours from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm (Monday to Thursday) and a second shift from 4:30 pm to 3:00 am (Monday to Thursday) with a $2 premium for the second shift.
