Job description Maintenance Technician - After Hours Who we are: Big Bear Vacations manages over 300 short-term Vacation Rental Homes (also known as professionally managed Airbnb homes). Our maintenance team provides a standard for quality and functionality in our homes. In combination with our other departments, the maintenance team helps ensure that our guests are assisted promptly and have a 5-star experience.

About the role:

As we prepare our rental homes for guests who are staying with us, we ensure the functionality of the home is up to standards to provide a positive experience. To set our standard for functionality, we review deferred maintenance, daily home needs, and maintenance needs while guests are in-house. This position can consist of anything from changing batteries in a smoke detector to investigating the root cause of appliance malfunction. It's handyman-level work, with a touch of customer service. Applicants must have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license and automotive insurance. Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: On-call shifts overnight, Code Enforcement to prevent City Agents from being dispatched, product ordering and installation, spa servicing, and general maintenance.

Qualifications:

Basic maintenance experience in any of the following areas: painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and general maintenance. Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician (Installations, Maintenance, Repair), Facilities, Property or Building Maintenance preferred Experience with spa servicing 6 months of customer service and/or hospitality experience preferred Possess a team player attitude and excellent interpersonal skills Forward Thinking Mindset General tools and equipment Ability to work weekends and holidays Ability to lift over 50lbs. Standing for long periods of time Comfortable with confined spaces and heights Valid and clean Driver's License record Reliable winter-capable vehicle • Due to the nature of this position, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check.

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
