Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cabinet Sander and bring your woodworking expertise to life! In this energized role, you'll be responsible for preparing and finishing cabinet surfaces with precision and care, ensuring each piece meets our high standards of quality. We're looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a hands-on environment and are passionate about craftsmanship. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in woodworking, finishing, and detailed surface preparation within a collaborative team setting. Duties Operate various hand tools and power tools designed for woodworking to sand, smooth, and finish cabinet surfaces efficiently. Prepare wood surfaces by removing rough spots, imperfections to achieve a flawless base for staining or painting. Follow detailed construction plans and blueprints to ensure precise sanding and finishing according to project specifications. Use woodworking machines safely and effectively to shape, smooth, and prepare cabinet components for assembly or final finishing. Inspect finished surfaces for quality control, ensuring consistent smoothness, evenness, and adherence to design standards. Collaborate with carpenters, finishers, and project managers to coordinate workflow and meet project deadlines. Maintain a clean workspace by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Detail orieted Able to lift 25 lbs Maintain schedule Good listening skills/take direction Ability to use small hand tools Select proper grade of sand paper Hand sand when necessary Trim, scrape and debur when needed Fill imperfections and cracks with putty or epoxy Experience Proven experience in woodworking or cabinetry finishing, with familiarity in sanding techniques specific to cabinets or furniture. Skilled in using hand tools such as sanders, files, scrapers, along with power tools including orbital sanders, belt sanders, and detail grinders.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
