Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | $40-$57/hour DOE | Denver West Metro Tired of the typical construction culture? If you're an experienced remodeler who wants to work with people who take craftsmanship seriously and treat each other with respect, we'd like to meet you. We're looking for an exceptional residential remodeling professional who can do more than simply complete assigned tasks. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of projects, produce excellent work, coordinate with subcontractors, and help keep multiple projects moving toward completion. Our primary service area is Arvada, Westminster, Golden, and Wheat Ridge , so most of our work is concentrated on the west side of the Denver metro area. The Position This is a hands-on leadership position . You'll spend much of your time personally performing skilled remodeling and finish work while also helping coordinate and oversee one to two active projects at a time . For example, you might spend part of the day completing finish work at one bathroom remodel while checking on a tile contractor at another project, making sure the work is progressing properly, materials are available, and the project stays on schedule. We are looking for someone who can eventually be trusted to say: "Give me the project. I'll take ownership of getting it finished right." Your ResponsibilitiesSkilled Remodeling & Finish Work You should be highly proficient in most of the following: Bathroom demolition Small framing modifications, such as moving or modifying a bathroom wall Drywall repairs and patches Installing cement board and shower backer board Installing vanities and cabinets Installing shelves and built-ins Finish carpentry Installing baseboards and trim Installing doors and door hardware Installing plumbing fixtures such as toilets, faucets, sinks, and shower trim Installing light fixtures and other finish electrical items Installing shower doors Mounting mirrors Installing towel bars, toilet paper holders, shelves, and other bathroom accessories Painting and touch-up work Professional caulking and sealing Hardware installation Punch-list and final-detail work Maintaining a clean, organized and professional jobsite Tile, major plumbing, major electrical, large-scale framing, and large drywall projects are performed by specialized subcontractors. You should be comfortable working alongside these trades and understanding how your work fits into the overall project. Project Coordination As a Lead Remodeling Technician / Project Lead, you'll also help keep projects moving.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating with subcontractors Monitoring subcontractor progress and quality Making sure subcontractors understand the scope of work Checking completed work before the next phase begins Identifying problems before they become expensive problems Coordinating the sequence of different trades Communicating project progress and issues to the owner Helping keep projects on schedule Performing jobsite inspections Completing punch lists Helping prepare projects for final customer walkthrough Taking ownership of problems and helping find solutions You won't be expected to sit behind a desk all day. This is a working lead position. Materials & Job Preparation You'll also be responsible for helping make sure each project has what it needs to move forward.
This includes:
Reviewing upcoming work and determining needed materials Procuring materials and supplies Picking up materials from suppliers and stores Delivering materials to jobsites Making sure materials are available when needed Identifying missing or incorrect materials before they delay a project Keeping materials organized and protected Maintaining an organized jobsite What We're Looking For Required Minimum 10 years of full-time residential remodeling experience Significant bathroom remodeling experience Strong finish carpentry skills Ability to independently complete most bathroom finish work Ability to perform small framing and drywall repairs Experience working with subcontractors Ability to understand construction sequencing Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently without constant supervision Excellent communication and organizational skills Reliable and dependable Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Professional appearance and demeanor when working in customers' homes Preferred Previous lead carpenter, foreman, or project-lead experience Experience managing or coordinating multiple remodeling projects Experience purchasing and managing project materials Experience working directly with homeowners English/Spanish bilingual Experience with both bathroom remodeling and basement finishing Our Culture We're a Christian-owned company, and our faith influences the way we conduct business.
