Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Distillation Operator to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis. We primarily run methanol distillation, though experience with other industrial solvents (ethanol, toluene, acetone, etc.) transfers directly. This position offers MAXIMUM schedule flexibility, making it an ideal fit for a retiree or experienced professional looking to keep their skills sharp, stay active, and earn competitive pay without a standard hour commitment. Key Responsibilities Monitor, control, and optimize fractional distillation column operations. Adjust temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and reflux ratios to maintain product purity. Perform routine sampling, testing, and quality control checks. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, and chemical handling procedures. Assist with basic equipment checks, valve adjustments, and system startups/shutdowns. Qualifications Proven hands-on experience operating industrial distillation columns or chemical process plants. Strong working knowledge of solvent purification (methanol or similar chemical streams). Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
