Job Description
Aerospace Manufacturing company is seeking a full-time CNC Machine Operator with some experience working on mills machines for the morning shift . We provide complex precision metal parts and components to innovative space industry companies. Come work for a growing company in a state-of-the-art facility!
Job Purpose:
To produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.Duties:
To produce machined components by setting-up and operating a CNC Mazak- Maintain quality and safety standards
- Keep records
- Maintain equipment and supplies
Responsibility:
- Ensure proper utilization of a CNC Mazak Mills (MAZAK control)
- Read blue prints, sketches, and drawings, specifications and set up requirements
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of the cut
- Write and edit computerized machine control data
- Perform full set-ups and operate equipment insuring adherence to procedures and standards
- Monitor the machine through the run and verify dimensions of finished work piece to specifications of print, using precision measuring instruments
- Submit components in timely manner for first article inspection
- Work with Quality Control personnel to understand specific of the part and give input to resolve any machining problems Special Knowledge / Skills required: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Some experience working on CNC Mills in a precision aerospace machine shop Is a plus. Ability to read blue print drawings and specifications of complex parts for the aerospace industry. Experience with MAZAK control is a plus.Salary:
