CNC Lathe Setup Technician responsible for machine setup, troubleshooting, dimensional inspection, production adjustments, and routine preventive maintenance. Job Requirements Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC lathes. Experience with CNC lathes equipped with live tooling. Ability to make machine adjustments, insert changes, and offset corrections. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Experience performing dimensional and quality inspections. Ability to document production information in machine data logging systems. Experience performing routine preventive maintenance on machining equipment. General CNC machining experience outside of lathe setup is not required. Preferred Skills Experience with live-tooling lathe applications. Experience troubleshooting dimensional or machining issues. Experience performing in-process inspection. Experience maintaining coolant, lubrication, and chip-management systems. Job Responsibilities Set up CNC lathes for production runs. Troubleshoot machine and process issues. Set up and operate machines with live tooling. Make offset adjustments and insert changes to maintain part specifications. Read blueprints and verify machining requirements. Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment. Perform in-process and final quality checks. Document production information using the machine Data Log system. Check coolant, oil, and grease levels as part of preventive maintenance. Remove chip buildup and maintain machine work areas. Perform routine machine maintenance according to established procedures.
