About the Role American Aero is looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Brooklet, GA. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills, lathes, routers, and/or turning machines to produce precision components for the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate is comfortable reading blueprints and GD&T, using precision measuring tools, and working in a quality-focused manufacturing environment. Experience in aerospace manufacturing or an AS9100-certified environment is a plus. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, routers, and/or turning machines Load programs, set tool offsets, and verify machine settings Install and secure fixtures, tooling, and workpieces Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges Monitor tool wear and replace tooling as needed Make machine adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy Identify and properly handle nonconforming material Complete production, quality, and timekeeping documentation Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and minor troubleshooting Communicate production or quality issues with supervisors, quality personnel, engineers, and team members Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements, and quality standards Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

What We're Looking For Required:

High school diploma or equivalent 2-5 years of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment Experience reading blueprints and understanding GD&T Experience using precision measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures

Preferred:

Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience working in an AS9100-certified environment CNC machining certification or technical training Experience working with aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, Inconel, or stainless steel Basic knowledge of G-code editing and troubleshooting Physical & Work Environment Ability to stand and move around the manufacturing floor for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds , with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to use hands and fingers to operate machinery and precision measuring equipment Ability to visually inspect detailed components Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, cutting fluids, and moderate noise May require overtime, weekends, or schedule adjustments based on production needs Why Join American Aero?
