Job Description

Job Summary The Lumber Shack is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to operate and maintain our wood flattening CNC machine. This is a part-time evening or weekend position with flexible hours after our day shift ends. No woodworking experience? No problem. We're happy to train the right person. Responsibilities Operate our wood-flattening CNC machine Load and unload large wood slabs Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning Keep the work area clean and organized Follow all shop safety procedures Qualifications Ability to safely lift 70-100 lbs Excellent attendance and reliability Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to the 1/16" Strong attention to detail Self-motivated and able to work independently Reliable transportation to and from work Woodworking or machinery experience is a plus, but not required Hours This is a part-time position, approximately 12-20 hours per week Typical hours are:
Monday-Thursday:
After 4:00
PM Friday:
After 1:00 PM Weekend hours available if desired Our goal is to keep this machine running after the day shift ends, so we're looking for someone who enjoys working independently. Training We'll train the right person. Most employees become comfortable operating the machine within a few days and typically become proficient within 2-3 weeks. Why Work With Us?
