00 per hour depending on experience, plus a $2/hour shift differential for 2nd & 3rd shift starting day one, comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, AD&D, Life), 401(k) with match beginning your first day, and educational reimbursement. We're also offering a $4,000 sign‑on bonus. A day in the life On a typical shift (2nd: 2pm-10pm or 3rd: 10pm-6am; training on 1st: 6am-2pm may be available), you'll rotate through a work cell to set up and run multiple CNC machines—turning, drilling, milling, tapping, and even resistance spot welding—holding tight tolerances to deliver aerospace‑grade quality. Review blueprints, process/setup sheets, and work instructions to plan your approach.
Prep the work:
machine and fit chuck jaws, load and secure tooling in turrets, and verify preset gauges are calibrated. Load programs, upload/download as needed, and make minor edits and offset adjustments for material, tooling, or machine conditions. Run parts, monitor quality, troubleshoot issues, and fine‑tune to keep the process in control. Inspect your own work and, at times, the work of peers; complete all required documentation and ERP entries. Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and support teams; mentor less‑experienced machinists when needed. Support continuous improvement/RBS activities and operate multiple machines when production calls for it. Handle and stage components up to 25 lbs routinely; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing through the shift. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of CNC machining experience with demonstrated proficiency operating any two of the following: CNC lathe, CNC mill, or resistance spot welder; solid intermediate setup capability. Knowledge of CNC machining principles; ability to read blueprints and work instructions in English and perform basic math. Willingness to take and pass a machinist mechanical aptitude test (for external candidates).
