CNC Laser Machine Operator- Experienced Job Summary We are a 103-year-old, family-owned metal fabrication manufacturer seeking seeking an experienced laser machine operator who can set up and run cutting jobs independently. The right candidate understands how material, thickness, assist gas, and machine settings affect cut quality—and knows how to adjust cutting conditions when a part is not cutting correctly. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment.
• Review drawings, material specifications, and work instructions before cutting.
• Adjust cutting conditions, including speed, power, focus, gas pressure, and piercing settings, to achieve clean, accurate cuts.
• Troubleshoot rough edges, incomplete cuts, excessive dross, and other quality issues.
• Inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring tools.
• Perform routine machine checks and follow shop safety procedures.

Qualifications At least 5 years of hands-on laser cutting experience in a metal fabrication shop. Strong knowledge of cutting conditions for different metals and thicknesses. Experience with Amada flat lasers or Mazak tube lasers is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn new equipment, manufacturing processes, and CNC programming.

Compensation and Schedule Pay:

$23-27 per hour, based on experience
